The Native Languages of the Little Shell People was a mixture of Michif or Metis, Cree (Nehiyawak) & Chippewa (Ojibwe). For example our brothers and sisters at Turtle Mountain call the legendary Bigfoot Misabee while we Little Shell refer to him as Rugaru playing on the Metis word Rougarou.
